SOK’s negotiations regarding administrative support services staff have been concluded.
They resulted in 24 redundancies.
S Group has significantly reduced its investments and have been looking for savings in administration, IT services, real estate, energy and marketing costs. At the beginning of the negotiations, the reduction was estimated to a maximum of 33 people. The co-determination negotiations that started in April resulted in a total of 24 redundancies at SOK’s IT, financial and communication services generating units.
”Present downturn is the longest in the history of Finland, and no strong signs of an upturn are in sight. We strive to minimize human impacts, but unfortunately they can not be completely avoided in this challenging economic climate,” SOK’s Administration and Finance Director Jari Annala says.
SOK’s changes of support services organization does not affect the regional cooperative staff or customer service received by the owners.
