Biltema builds its biggest department store.
The location is Infra City in upplands Väsby not of Stockholm.
“The department store has great potential to be a really great unit considering all the traffic in the area,” says Anneli Borg Lundgren, CEO of Biltema.
The 8000-square-meter store in Infra City is made possible by Profi fastigheter selling two properties west of the E4 to Biltema.
The department store will be Biltema’s second in northern Stockholm, located along the E4 where 80,000 vehicles pass every day. According to Biltema’s own calculations the store is estimated to generate about 1 million visitors annually.
“The important thing for us is that we can establish ourselves in a good and traffic-orientated location with good visibility. We have had very good cooperation with Profi Fastigheter to date and look forward with anticipation to the continued development of the area,” says Anneli Lundgren Borg.
Biltema now has 126 stores in the Nordic region, with sales of approximately 10 billion SEK.
“Biltema will be a welcome addition to our wide trading range and is in line with our development plan to strengthen the place as clusters of industries in areas such as home and leisure,” says Thomas Sipos, CEO of Profi Fastigheter.
