Coop changes the color of their Swedish Konsum-stores.
As many as possible will get a brown facade.
Eskilstuna Kuriren writes that building permits applications are underway in the whole country, but that Coop will not be able to re-paint all properties. Many of them have a different property owner.
“It will be earth brown and reflect our core values, nature, natural food and so on. The signs must also be clearer and more modern, that is the thought,” Martin Runkvist, project manager at Coop, told the newspaper.
Four stores in southern Sweden and eight in the Stockholm area have already undergone the color change.
“It is not only an esthetic change, it will also improve the customer experience. It is a concept that we believe will appeal to many of our customers, customer and member surveys also show, “says Martin Runkvist.
