Danish discount growth pace is decreasing

Grocery discount chains are still the strongest growers in Denmark, but 2015 seems to indicate a certain leveling out.
Latest figures from Statistics Denmark until November shows that the discount-segment will not sum up 2015 with a growth of over 4 percent, with one month remaining it’s forecasted at 3.8 percent growth.
This should be compared to 2014 when discount growth reached 4.3 percent.
It would then be the lowest growth in the segment, since 2007, writes Dansk Handelsblad.
Meanwhile the supermarket segment, has its best year since the financial crisis, with a growth of more modest 0.6 percent.
