Intersport buys Löplabbet from KF Group.
”We have long seen the need for a separate specialist concept. With Löplabbets credibility and Intersport chain forces we will advance our positions significantly”, says Ulf Kinneson, CEO of Intersport.

Löplabbet has since its inception in 1984 been a high services  specialist shop for runners, by runners, with a focus on individual counseling for choosing products. Today Löplabbet’s 13 stores are spread all over Sweden and a have a turnover of approximately 110 million.

”We are taking the next step on our journey to become the best at sports. Now we can more clearly communicate our deep knowledge and simultaneously developed further by learning from Löplabbets experiences. Running is and will remain one of our heavy focus areas”, says a satisfied Ulf Kinneson.

KFI Kapital AB, a subsidiary of KF Group, sells its stake of 80 per cent of the shares in Löplabbet as part of the streamlining process underway in the KF Group.

”Intersport is a good buyer of Löplabbet and can continue to develop the chain. We are very happy with this solution”, says Stephen Lambert, CEO of KFI Capital.

Löplabbets CEO Tom Kellheim will continue to have responsibility for concept development and the stores will continue to operate under the brand Löplabbet, but under Intersport’s directions.
