Kesko to reform all K-citymarkets

K-citymarket’s Finnish comprehensive reform has started, all the stores are to be renewed after the local customers wishes by the end of 2018.

“The K-citymarket chain reform are utilized by a new way of customer feedback and store-specific customer information. The aim is to make each one of 81 store look unique to its customer base , two K-citymarkets won’t look the same, “says K-citymarket chain’s director Johanna Kontio.

The chain reform started already in 2015 as Espoon K-citymarket Sello, whose renovation was completed in September, was recognized with an award from Kantar Retail’s market research.

“It’s great that our reforms have also received international recognition. Our own customer research shows that our fresh departments are the best on the market.”

The reform focuses particularly on fresh brands, diverse selection and ease of transactions. In addition, goods departments focus on particular groups of products related to daily transactions, such as food preparation tools, cosmetics, flowers, books and staples. In connection with the store will Post and DHL services, as well as Starbucks coffee shops open.
